Are electronic signatures legal in Ohio?

I have been having problems with my landlord stating that my roommates electronic signature is not legal and cannot be accepted for our 60 day notice to be vacated. My roommate moved out 3 months ago and I have been living by myself for the past couple months. It is virtually impossible to get my roommate to drive all the way back and sign the form in person and my apartment complex refuses to except an electronic signature. My question is wether this is legal or not in the state of ohio? Or is companies/apartment complexes are aloud to dictate this themselves? If you have any sources or input would be greatful. Any help is greatly appreciated.
